The new Christmas movie, The Grinch, was released November 9, 2018 and it was a total hit. Laughter filled the theater and several smiles from children. This amazing movie is a family movie to watch over and over during the holidays coming up. The main characters include The Grinch, Cindy Lou Who, and the narrator. Cast members who played the voices of these amazing animated characters are: Benedict Cumberbatch (The Grinch), Cameron Seely (Cindy Lou Who), and Pharrell Williams (the narrator). These talented actors brought happiness towards the holidays.

Now a little background to why it’s based on How the Grinch Stole Christmas. In several old movies also named The Grinch, it said it was because his heart was two sizes too small. However still that reason sticks too this film, there’s another reason. The Grinch was an orphan who had no one to celebrate Christmas with. As growing up to adulthood, he despised the holidays for that exact reason, but he didn’t tell anyone why he was like that. Moving further into the movie it shows how a little girl can change the holidays for him. The whole town showed forgiveness towards him and no hate. Which is the meaning of Christmas. He enjoyed spending time with everyone there. Then the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes big that day.   That amazing message was brought to life with this movie and it shows kids that Christmas isn’t about presents and good food, it’s about family and giving back. The directors of The Grinch did an amazing job director this holiday movie. And I would like to say that I will definitely be going back to seeing it a second time because that’s how good it was.

There was so many funny parts, however there was emotional parts too. For example, when Cindy Lou Who (Cameron Seely) didn’t wish for any toys, she only wished for her mom who was an overworked woman to have a relief life. Her mother was a single parent in this film. And it made it more hard because there was more siblings in this film as well. Knowing there was a couple of changes added to The Grinch movie for 2018, isn’t a bad idea because the whole point was to show the true meaning of Christmas. And they really accomplished it. By far, I would definitely go back and see it again. I recommend seeing it in theaters near you.
