Hollywood says goodbye to Princess Leia

From lover boy all the way to star wars, the late great Carrie Fisher is by far one of the most cherished actresses of all time. Most notably for her role as Princess Leia in the star wars franchise carrie was also known as a loving mother, daughter and sister. Carrie was born into the business of acting and performing her mom the famous Debbie Reynolds, a well known actress and her dad a well known singer. She received her first acting job on a broadway show called “Irene”. Her first movie performance was a movie called shampoo. She is most noted for the famous and iconic role as Princess Leia. She eventually began an off and on acting career, and began to publish many books.
As time progressed Carrie started to have major depression issues and turned to drugs and alcohol. Over time she overcame these issues and used acting as a way to vent.
Fisher was briefly married to Paul Lourd and they have one daughter named Billie Catherine. She has always been open about her addiction issues and had received an award for being so open about it. Fisher stated that she has previously diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She stated in an interview “I’ve never been ashamed of my mental illness; it never occurred to me. Many people thank me for talking about it, and mothers can tell their kids when they are upset with the diagnosis that Princess Leia is bipolar too.” Her iconic character has been and will be known through the ages.
Fisher’s book “ The Princess Diarist” is a reveal into her life. Fisher had confirmed the rumor stated that she and Harrison Ford did indeed have an affair. She was captivated by how quickly she fell in love with him, he was happy to sleep with her but unfortunately didn’t feel the same way. Her books are known for their blunt honesty into her life. Long before her death Carrie had stumbled onto many of her own diaries, stating the inspired her to write like she never did before.
Carrie fisher was an activist, actress, author, and humanist. As her recent return as Princess Leia helped bring in 247 million dollars in box office, she has sadly passed away. Carrie died at the young age of 60 on December 27 2016. She is lived on by her daughter and brother. The next day her mother Debbie Reynolds also passed away.
