Back in August, 2011, an American rock band, The Neighborhood (sometimes shortened to The NBHD) was formed in Los Angeles. The band includes vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Bryan Sammis. It wasn’t until April 23, 2013 they started to get popular when their first full length album I Love You was released and reached number 38 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The Neighborhood’s lead single “Sweater Weather” topped the charts in early June, 2013, hitting number 1 on Billboards Alternative chart.
The band’s music can be compared to indie bands like the Arctic Monkeys or Two Door Cinema Club. The Neighborhood released their first video on March 5, 2013, and became known for their black and white imagery. Everything you find graphically on the band is in black and white, including their 2 EP album covers, I’m Sorry and Thank You.
The band is currently on tour, and will be at Club Nokia on January 23 I highly advise you to check them out.

Our Goal
Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
