Disneyland California Adventure park’s beloved and classic ride; and my personal favorite Tower of Terror is said to be replaced, as confirmed by Disney park’s chairman Bob Chapek next year.

Disney’s Tower of Terror first opened May 5, 2004, making it 12 years old, but my memory recalls it being much older, remembering my siblings and me holding my mother because we were so scared of the theme of this ride- ghosts and complete darkness; it still scares me to this day.

Many fans and myself are angry with Disney and some have already started a petition: To keep “The Tower of Terror “ alive. The petition will be delivered to The Walt Disney Company as soon as there are enough people to sign up.

The revamped Tower is said to have ‘breathtaking free fall sensation with new visual and new audio effects.’ But I have seen nothing wrong with the audio and visuals before. That used to be the best part. Seeing the ghosts float up making them look like they were flying after you, plus the scary music, it made the ride and my day.

It seems that this idea is already planned and ready to begin sadly. Disney has said that the tower is scheduled to close sometime in January and reopen again in summer of 2017 as the new “Guardians of the Galaxy-mission BREAKOUT!“

This news seems unbelievable, and it will be sad to see this popular attraction go. It will be missed. Goodbye, Tower of Terror.
