On this episode of ALL ABOUT COLTON, co-hosts Jocelyn Lopez and Bianca Martinez interview four AVID juniors–Jennifer Ascencio, Leah Ornelas, Kassandra Romo and Zuleiny Vazquez–about what makes AVID such a strong program at Colton High.

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!

Jocelyn Lopez, Staff Writer
Jocelyn Lopez is currently a senior at Colton High School. This is her first year working on the Pepper Bough. Her activities are drawing, reading, and spending time with Kaeley Diaz. Not only is she in Pepper Bough, but also the HEAL Pathway/Club, and band. If she is not working on Pepper Bough she is in the band as band president. Outside of school, she works on her business creating pinatas and centerpieces and uploading them on Instagram Mariposa._.decor.

Anetsa Perez, Staff Writer
Anetsa Perez is a senior at Colton High School. This is her first and last year writing for the Pepper Bough. Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, she came to Colton and started at Colton Middle School. She spent a year being on the Falcon News as a reporter. She plays clarinet and enjoys playing as an ensemble with her class in concerts. She has the support of her parents and four amazing little sisters, and has a responsibility as the oldest. Despite all that responsibility, she also has the time to be a dog mom.

Bianca Martinez, Staff Writer
Bianca Martinez is a sophomore at Colton High School and this is her first year writing for the Pepper Bough. She has lived in Colton her whole life except for when she was a baby she lived in Loma Linda. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her friends, reading, and visiting places with her family. She likes writing about sports and the changes that are happening in the world. She’s also a part of the HEAL program and writing for the Pepper Bough will be a new experience for her.
