Feeling the Wrath of the Titans

Feeling the Wrath of the Titans

“Wrath of the Titans” was released on March 30th, and has been a worthy competitor, up against such popular movies as “The Hunger Games” and “21 Jump Street”. Taking in $210,214,212 worldwide to date, the much-anticipated sequel to the epic twist on the Gtreek gods’ story is one worth being told.

Perseus is called for help again after having defeated Medusa and the Kraken, in the preceding film  “Clash of The Titans”; his newest challenge is now helping his father Zeus to defeat the biggest threat to the gods and mankind: the beast, Kronos, whom is also the father of Zeus and Hades.

Perseus must find his father and go to the underworld where he must free his father from Hades and his own son Ares, after being captured. In doing so, he must persevere through several obstacles and find another demi-god (half-human, half-god) like himself. This plan goes smoothly, until Zeus asks him to fight hand on hand with him to get rid of Kronos, along with his titans and other creatures like; the ferocious combination of man and beast the Minotaur, along with Chimera, the only female creature among the Wrath wrecking crew that breathes fire. Makhais are vicious demons known as the gods of battle and combat, the mighty two-headed, double-torso, sword-wielding killing machines that strike as a two-in-one combination. Perseus must find the creator of the sacred weapons Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades have used for millions of years. While on the search, they find themselves face-to-face with a big surprise Cyclopes.  The battles that ensue are ones only dreamed of in the imaginations of Greek-god fanatics, and all lead up to a stunning conclusion.

The film is full of action-packed scenes that will make you jump up from your seat at times that you least expect to. The storyline keeps true to Perseus’ past, and shows his son a bit grown, despite the fact that Zeus hides the secret from his son about being a demi-god, in order to protect him from evils and troubles. These are only a few characters from the original story that are featured in the movie, but these characters are enough to create extremely unique and edge-of-your-seat battle scenes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie that deals with ancient times that has this much action and mystery, along with thrill, all in one film. If you thought the first movie “Clash of The Titans” was good, wait until you set your eyes on this one. You will not be disappointed and might even want to see it twice.
