Scary Movie (2000) Since its release, “Scary Movie” has been a conversational topic about whether its actually a good movie, let alone “scary.” The movie is a parody of classic 90s horror films, like “Scream” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” The plot is basic: a group of ignorant teens accidentally kill someone and hide the body; a year later this comes to haunt them in the form of Ghostface. But the plot is beside the point. Despite the numerous jokes at the expense of homosexuals, the intellectually disabled, and the overweight, we cant help but laugh at these half-witted teens and the movies they frequently inhabit. —N.Solis
