The Yellowjackets come together to celebrate victory.

Colton, CA—On the heels of a 1-3 showing at the Palm Springs Softball Tournament last weekend, the Yellowjackets enjoyed some home cooking in a 10-3 victory over the San Bernardino Cardinals.

Sophomore starting pitcher Jasmine De La Rosa held the Cardinals to 3 runs.

After a scoreless first inning, San Bernardino scored first in the top of the second, but the Yellowjackets evened the score as errors by the Cardinal fielders gave Colton opportunities to get on the board.

Samantha Pedroza and Valerie Varela both scored to give Colton a 3-1 advantage. Despite efforts by the Cardinals to get back in the game, Colton never looked back.

Colton is now 2-3 on the season, and will travel to Ontario on Wednesday to play the Jaguars. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
