JV football lines up against Eisenhower High School on Oct. 14. Their game against Summit High, scheduled for Oct. 21, was canceled.

Colton, CA—The Colton High School Yellowjacket junior varsity football team’s Thursday, October 21 matchup against Summit High School has been canceled. Team injuries and loss of students due to grade eligibility have impacted the team’s number of players.

According to Jacob Van Hofwegen, Colton High Athletic Director, the decision was made to save some of the JV players for Friday night’s varsity game against the 6-2 Summit SkyHawks.

The varsity game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Summit High School on Friday.
