Powder Puff, an annual homecoming tradition here on campus, is a sport for girls and girls only. Powder Puff is just a girly way of saying football for girls. Girls who enjoy playing football, and haven’t had a chance to before, can play this sport. Girls from all class levels, freshmen to senior, are eligible to play. Participation does require a physical and a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The coaches will be from the JV and Varsity football teams.
The first game will take place on Monday, October 1st, at the softball field by the tennis courts. This first game will be between the freshmen and the juniors during first lunch. During second lunch, the sophomores take on the seniors. The second and final game is based on whoever wins.
For example, say the juniors beat the freshmen during first lunch and the sophomores beat the seniors during second; the juniors and sophomores will be playing against each other the same day after school. You don’t get any gifts, rewards, or prizes from playing Powder Puff. Its just for your own amusement, just to do something that you haven’t experienced before.
