CHS Book Club reveals it’s title for “Summer” reading
The summer title is Jenny Han’s young adult romance “The Summer I Turned Pretty;” Copies are available in the library
This summer, the CHS library is offering staff and students an opportunity to make friends and bond over a book they are sure to love.
“The Summer I Turned Pretty” by Jenny Han is the CHS Book Club’s next selection. They will be reading the book this summer to coincide with the new season of the Amazon Prime original series.
Participants in the Book Club will read the book over the summer and meet with the Club when they return for the first semester of the 2023-24 school year.
This will be the book club’s second book of the year following the success of the manga novel “Spy x Family 1.”
“The Summer I Turned Pretty” is a young adult romance series told from the point-of-view of ‘Belly’ Conklin, a teen girl who finds herself in the middle of a love triangle when she spends a summer at the beach with old friends.
Anyone interested in joining the Book Club for this title, head to the CHS library to get a copy of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” Supplies are limited.
Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
