Colton, CA—This Wednesday, May 17th, the CHS Library will be hosting a book club during lunch.
Students and staff are invited and welcomed to eat and read. Food will be provided as well as a free book on a first come, first served basis. There are 20 spots available.
Librarian April Geltch says this club will be open between May 2023-May 2024. “What I love about this concept is that you can choose what books you want to read and be a part of,” she said.
The first novel the club will explore is a Japanese graphic novel series called “Spy x Family 1.” This manga tells the story about a spy who has to create his own family in order to fulfill a secret mission. Students interested in this genre can get a free copy of the book at the library to start off the series.
While “Spy x Family” is the first book the club will read, upcoming titles include “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” “To Selena, with Love,” and “Friday Night Lights.”
The library staff looks forward to students and staff to come on down for this unique opportunity to join in the conversation.
Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
