Colton, CA—On August 29, 2025, Colton High’s ASB hosted the annual Fall Pep Rally in the Ken Hubbs gym where Senior Pep Commissioners Adrian Diaz and Selena Fernandez sparked up the fun for the 2025-2026 school year.
Diaz said,“It feels nerve-racking to be a host, but once everyone is in here, it feels fun,” as for Fernandez she added “It excites me and it’s fun. I think it’s just a lot of energy.”
The National Anthem was led by NJROTC and Band. This was also the first Pep Rally for Colton High’s new Band Director Tyler Sampson, who also had the band perform Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy and the Alma Mater.
Cheer had two performances and Hip Hop club also performed a remix to bring out the energy from the Yellow Jackets and place school spirit into everyone.
As for Sports the Fall sports representatives introduced: Volleyball, Football, Cross Country, Girls Tennis and the new Flag Football Team. The teams told students to attend their upcoming games and hyped them up with their team chants.
ASB also invited students to play a competitive match of musical chairs with four students from each grade participating, an athleticism based game was played by two people from both the Cheerleading and Football team.
The Fall Pep Rally was bittersweet, not only was it a welcome to the incoming freshmen, but it was also a last goodbye to our seniors, as this was the first of their last Pep Rallies.
Senior Nikolas Lara said, “It makes me feel very nostalgic, and I’m ready for what’s to come. We’re seniors, and I’m ready to graduate,” while it was a nice way to start the year for some, others felt the feeling of growing up, Senior Mariana Anaya said, “It’s upsetting that I won’t be able to experience these rallies again.”
