Colton, CA—From caps and gowns to yearbook orders, Colton High held Senior Info assemblies for parents and students to learn about all the upcoming dates for the 2025-2026 school year.
Assemblies were held during fifth period for seniors on campus. An evening assembly provided the same information for parents.
During the school day assembly, all Seniors headed towards the Whitmer Auditorium where ASB informed students about what to expect for the school year.
Senior class President Christian Jason and Vice-President Esmeralda Alvarez shared dates and prices for important activities such as Homecoming, Prom, and Grad Nite. They also gave a list of other important senior events, including this week’s Senior Sunrise, which will take place on Friday Aug. 15 at 5:30 a.m.
Newly appointed Vice Principal Daniel Checo reminded students of the requirements to avoid placement on the infamous CAR (Ceremony At Risk) list, which all seniors must be removed from if they wish to participate in the graduation ceremony.
To stay off the CAR list, students must have less than nine unverified period absences, less than nine tardies, no outside school suspensions, and no debts with the business office.
Checo also shared information about Saturday School, athletic clearance, and general information about college.
Publications advisor Jeremiah Dollins addressed Senior Portraits and yearbook sales. At the evening’s parent meeting, he also had a booth for families to buy yearbooks and dedication pages for their seniors.
Representatives from Herff-Jones discussed cap and gown packages available to students and had them scan a QR code to send over their height and weight for fitting.
The next upcoming event for Seniors will be Senior Sunrise at 5:30am on Aug. 15.
