Colton, CA—On March 7, 2025, Colton High held their annual Prom Fashion Show for seniors in the MPR during second period where the theme, location, prom court and do’s and don’ts of prom were announced.
The fashion show began with a lineup of Seniors who strutted down the walkway with fun poses while they showed off dresses and suits that were provided by Windsor and Friar Tux.
Teachers also paraded down the walkway while ASB pointed out the attire that should not be worn at prom, this includes pajamas, sunglasses, headphones, etc.
ASB made sure to go over all the rules for the attendees as well as objects attendees are not allowed to bring, some include: perfumes, pencils, pens, gum, lighters, matches, etc.
Attendees are expected to show up by 6:30, but dinner will be served at 6:50 so it is advised to be there by the time food is served. The following food will be provided: rolls, salad, rosemary chicken breast, potatoes and a beverage of your choice.
The nominees for prom king are: Mateo Barbosa, Nam Hoang, Kyle Mejia, Gilbert Osornio, and Oswaldo Valle. The prom queen nominees are: Dexia Castillas, Ximena Jimenez, Bella Lara, Destinie Munoz, and Jada Porter.
The location for prom is The Colony House, a stunning venue in Anaheim where attendees will get to spend their time.
And with that the theme of Colton High’s 2025 prom isss, Night in the Swamp! A theme inspired by the upcoming Shrek 5 movie… or not. The actual theme set for prom is “Meet Me at Midnight”.
One of the ASB leaders Ariana Baeza said, “‘Meet Me at Midnight’ was originally inspired with a mix of Cinderella and Masquerade, but it shifted its inspiration with the same ideals of keeping time involved but also have art behind it which is where we were inspired by ‘starry night’ painted by Vincent Van Gogh so it’s more of a dark night lit up by the moon and stars.”
There is no expectation of the attire color for Prom, but with the theme “Meet Me at Midnight”, people will generally lean towards navy blues, dark purples, gold and/or silver.
Students can check their emails to learn more about the process of attending prom (in order to get a ticket you must be approved first by filling out the permission slip digitally). The last day to buy tickets is on March 14 and the last day to get approved is March 13.
There is a set of requirements (which students can check on their emails or by joining the class of 2025 google classroom) you must meet to purchase a ticket and they cost $185 with an ASB card and $195 without an ASB card (tickets can be bought in the business office before school or during lunch only).
