Colton, CA—The Colton High Crimson & Gold Yearbook staff are about to up their game.

On October 4, the #Aristrong Foundation donated $1,500 to the Colton High Publications department for the purpose of purchasing new camera equipment.

This school year, the Crimson & Gold has run into a few obstacles involving equipment. Recently, two of their seven cameras began to malfunction, and with a staff of 64 students, this has made coverage more difficult for the staff.

The donation could not have come at a better time. “I’m really grateful,” said Annaleigha Garcia, Editor-in-Chief of the Crimson & Gold. “Getting this extra camera with the money they donated is going to help us.”

“The #Aristrong Foundation is a true light in Colton,” said Jeremiah Dollins, Publication Department adviser. “They have given so much to our community, and that they would donate to us is humbling. Our program has grown dramatically these last two years, and we need all the help we can get to make sure everyone can see how awesome Colton High School is.”

The #Aristrong Foundation is dedicated to spreading the story of Arianna Villalobos, a young woman who lost her life to stage 4 brain cancer on October 1st, 2019. The organization hosts fundraising events and collects donations from those who wish to help others with cancer. The foundation also collects and donates money for teens in need of mental health as well as supporting opportunities for them.

Nikki Villalobos, co-founder of #Aristrong, shared that “part of our mission and Arianna’s mission was to bring hope and healing to hurting hearts.”#Aristrong will host its annual car show and kickball tournament on November 5th, 2022 at Colton High School.
