Seniors take a trip back in time during Senior Visits
The Class of 2022 takes a field trip to their elementary schools and Colton Middle to reunite with former teachers, siblings, and their childhood selves
Colton, CA—With classes finished, the sunset faded, and Grad Nite survived, the senior class of 2022 came to school on Tuesday morning for the annual Senior Breakfast and a trip down memory lane with the Senior Visits field trip.
A hearty breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and pastries were provided as part of the final for the CHS Culinary classes, who arrived to school early to begin preparing the food in the old cafeteria before delivering it to the Cafetorium. ASB set up the Cafetorium stage with a 2022 photo op, arranged a number of stunning balloon displays, and placed fancy runners on each of the tables in the new multi-purpose room.
Students and staff mingled, ate, and enjoyed the moment before the buses arrived to take the group of seniors to their old stomping grounds. All five buses started the day at Colton Middle School to reunite with their middle school teachers before splitting off to five different elementary schools: Grant, Rogers, Lincoln, McKinley, and Birney.
At each site, Colton’s class of 2022 were met by swarms of excited kids, cheering them and looking for inspiration. At McKinley, students were placed at the middle of an assembly in which each senior imparted wisdom on the future of Colton High. At Lincoln, a parade of students framed the playground so the seniors could come running in to high five and hug and feel the love for their accomplishments.
Next up for the seniors is the panoramic photo tomorrow morning, followed by graduation practice before Thursday night’s main event.
Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
