CHS celebrates semester one achievement at academic awards assembly
Renaissance organizes the event, which awarded more than 500 students for semester one performance
Colton, CA—Students and families filled Memorial Stadium on Saturday for the annual first semester academic awards.
Over 500 students were recognized for their academic performance during the first semester. Students were presented with certificates for Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll. Additionally, academic letters, bars, and Top 10 medals were presented to qualifying students.
The event, organized by Renaissance leadership, invited participants into an “enchanted forest” for the celebration of their achievements. Decorations enhanced the entrance, the bleachers, and the stage.
Principal John Abbott emceed the event, reading student names in his first academic awards as CHS principal. Assistant Principal Danielle Fernandez presented the awards to students as they crossed the stage in recognition of their success.
The next awards assembly will be an all-school awards, to be held on May 14.
