After this school year ends, Colton High will be missing one of its favorite longtime English instructors: Sue Miller is retiring. Miller, who has been teaching in the school district for 25 years, has decided to put away the dry erase markers for the last time and say goodbye to her long-time career here at CHS. She taught four years at the middle school level and has been teaching at Colton High for the past 21 years.
She had said that one of her memorable moments at Colton High is when she taught the CAHSEE class the first time and 75% of the class passed. Miller also said she enjoyed watching the students that were in plays that she had in her class.
Her plans after leaving Colton High are to travel and to go to Oregon State University to see a few of her grandson’s games, (CHS graduate Rodney Hardrick, a linebacker at OSU).
Miller says wistfully that “I will miss the students and other Colton High staff members who I became friends with over the years.” Good luck and safe travels, Mrs. Miller, and thanks for the memories.
