Gun control still a big issue among politicians

Politicians, along with the entire nation, have been scrambling to establish gun control laws to avoid future tragedies such as the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that took place late 2012.

The debate regarding gun control has provento be one of the most controversial topics to date. Politicians, citizens, and the families of the victims have been going at it ever since the tragedy.

As expected, debates are still flaring. The National Rifle Association, which stands pro-gun, is viciously defending the necessity of wielding guns with the assistance of select congressmen. They are backing their position by the Bill of Rights and its 2nd Amendment: the Right to Bear Arms.

Other congressmen and families are against them, wanting to enforce extremely strict gun control laws. The nation is currently divided by the topic of guns. Reacting to the number of trajic school shootings across the U.S. , they want tighter gun laws.

Even President Barack Obama is involved in the conflict; he recently visited Hartford, Connecticut to deliver a speech pleading for gun control.

Congressmen have still not been swayed and stand by their beliefs.

At any rate, progress has been slow among both sides. Both sides have their supporters, and neither will give up.
