What’s your fourth quarter plan?

We are now beginning a new school year and we must now begin planning what to do to make this last quarter in the school year the best one. Well first off ask yourself do I have a plan? If the answer is no, then you are at the right place because here are some helpful tips.

You should first establish your goal for the end of the school year, whether it’s having straight A’s or keeping all passing grades. You really can have awesome grades and still manage to have time for yourself and be able to have a blast.

First you can start with the classes that keep you the busiest and then the classes who have less work but take up more time than others. We all know we have those classes whose homework only takes about 30 minutes to do; we also have those classes which require up to an hour of homework every day; then we have our projects that take up a whole week.

Now that you have established which classes are which, you should divide your time into separate sections and put your homework into the slots. As soon as you get home from school, do as much homework as you can every day and stop at about 4:30 and then do what for you is your time spent wisely. Then get back into work maybe at about 7:30, just for about one hour and a half. This might not seem like the ideal thing to do. But you will have homework done before the due date, leaving other days free of homework.

On test dates you have to prepare and study–you should prepare yourself a study guide and then take about two hours before you go to bed to study for your test. You should do this for three days before a test, every night. Also have a family member test you to see if you are ready; this will definitely help you keep your test grade up.

School may seem a little overwhelming, but if you stay ahead of the game then it really becomes a piece of cake and you can make these tips a routine. This will not only help you have more free time and be prepared, but it will also help your grades improve drastically. These study tips will be help full throughout any years in high school or just any school in general. Good Luck!

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
