Sequestration brought upon by Obama, Congress

As a result of the deficit spending, President Barack Obama and Congress has passed the unfortunate sequester, as of March 1, 2013.

Sequestration is a necessary action that will cut over a trillion dollars within the next few years, if Congress takes no action. In this year alone, $85 billion will be cut from various things, including the military, mental health, and, as usual, education.

There is actually no single person to blame; opposed to the majority of the nation who state is all Obama’s or the Republican Party’s fault. It is actually every politician’s mistake that massive cuts are inevitable, now. Because of their political views, no agreement has been made. Thus, it isn’t all Obama’s fault.

No politician in government wanted this, but they each must realize that it was their inability to comply with everyone else that led to these large cuts.

As said, education will be cut back on (again). This means that schools may see even more furlough days until sequestration is over. Some schools, however, have completely eliminated every furlough day and are no longer concerned with them

Not only will schools be cut back on, but overtime for just about every other job or occupation will be a thing of the past.

Congress and Obama have recently come to grips with one another and will hopefully avoid cutting trillions of dollars from the nation.

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
