Romney picks Ryan, and the mud’s still a’ slingin’

With the next presidential race looming right around the corner in November, there is no doubt that President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney have to bring their best to the podiums.

A lot has happened over the past few weeks with the presidential election. Some were rather important such as Romney revealing his running mate, 42 year-old Republican Paul Ryan.

Ryan is a relatively new person to most of the people, but he must have some redeeming qualities since he was chosen by Romney. It may be quite hard for many people to vote for them as Romney is a Mormon and Ryan is an obvious conservative.

Romney had a proposal to help relieve stress on bank regulations of Wall Street, which is dead. Current Vice-President, Joe Biden, made a pretty controversial, and in some eyes racist, remark on Tuesday, August 14th, in Danville, Virginia, about that, saying “They’re going to put y’all back in chains.” However, later on Biden would use the less offensive term, shackles.

In that same day, Romney would later fire upon Biden, stating that those kinds of remarks “…disgrace the office of the presidency.” It just may be that remark that could cost Obama the election.

In response to Romney, Biden insulted and mocked Romney, like a little kid, for being passionate about that. The following day, Obama would quickly come to Biden’s defense by clarifying, or rephrasing, the “chain” remark, by saying that you “…will be a lot worse off if we repeal these law, as the other side is suggesting.”

Both sides are hitting below the belt at this time. But no one can really blame them. Disgraceful moves are everywhere in politics.
