Meet Mr. and Ms. Yellowjacket

Jonathan Monroy and Jennifer Ascencio were named Mr. and Ms. Yellowjacket for the Class of 2026. We sat down with them and those who know them to learn more about this honor and why they are deserving.

CHS Pepper Bough

Since 2021, Colton High has crowned two seniors with the title of Mr. and Ms. Yellowjacket. The honor, which comes with an academic scholarship, awards the students for best embodying what Colton High stands for: being respectful, responsible, and acting with integrity.

For the class of 2026, the seniors Jonathan Monroy and Jennifer Ascencio received the honors. In this video, Nicholas Olalde and Deriel Jasher Garcia spend time with not only the two winners, but with those who know them, to learn about the award and what it means to them.
