Gone, but not forgotten

On October 4th,2013 we here at CHS all lost a great friend; not only to our school but to the skateboarding community in Colton. His name was William J. Bond, or to most friends and family, Will. He was a Colton High School senior who was briefly on the cross country team but was an avid skateboarder more than anything.
January 23 was his 18th birthday, and for his birthday, many friends of the skating community, including Adrian Rojas, Gorge Serrano, Phillip Pizzaro, Luis (Fromoan) Cortez, Eric Chavez , Ossmany Ramirez, Aaron Mirola, Enrike Ramirez, myself and many more who all went to school with Will, went to a local skate spot where he skated many times and had a candle lighting for our dear friend. We all came together and celebrated  Will’s life. There, we all reminisced about good memories we had with him, laughed, and hung out and skated as if he were still with us.
During the candle lighting we had a moment of silence; all in our thoughts we remembered how Will was such a big part of our lives and how we were all close to Will in one way or another. It is still hard not seeing him everyday at school during passing periods, during lunch or even just not seeing him after school for a skate sesh. Although Will is gone, we will never forget him. We miss and love him very much. Our thoughts still go out to his family four months later.

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
