Make the best out of summer break by preparing for your future

During the summer it isn’t just all fun and game, is it? People tend to make it out that it is, but for some a lot of times they have to also prepare for their future classes. Some have summer work they must do and will be tested on it during the first week of school.

First you should check the Colton High School website so that you make sure you know what you are required to do and why. Then you should ask questions while you’re still in school before summer because if you don’t you might have some unanswered questions. Summer, of course, is to enjoy, because for the next 10 months you will be in school and you should let out all you have in you. Summer is a time to relive the stress you had during school if you had any and to be able and relax.

Yet you should also try and read a book or practice some math for at least an hour a week, because you don’t want to go back to school and then have to click yourself back to reality. You should make yourself aware of the fact that you do have to return back to school, of course if you have summer work that you are required to do for your future classes this does but doesn’t apply to you because you should do what your required to do not just something you want to do.

During the summer there are those days that you don’t even change out of your pajamas and all you do is lie down and watch TV.  Why not lie down and read a book, or do something educational or at least watch the History channel or something educational–not just watch soap operas. When you have summer work for English or history then you should do that because if you wait to the last minute then you will really hate yourself for that, rather than wasting your last week of summer vacation on doing all your homework , you can be done already and just have some fun! Just because you’re not in school it doesn’t mean you can’t think smart! Make a wise decision!

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
