Reflections on my Junior year

Junior year is always said to be the hardest year and so far I feel that junior year has been definitely the year of realization. I am now realizing how close I’m getting to leaving high school and it seems so unreachable for so long but then once you get here, time seems to speed up.

It has been a hard year trying to keep up with classes and realizing what next, senior year watching all your senior friends gets ready for graduation and some even getting ready to leave this state after high school. Junior year is the year that you are on your best behavior trying to keep your grades at their best and making sure all the goals you had freshmen year will be met by next year. Seniors are almost done, 3rd quarter is ending and all you have left after that is 4th quarter , then seniors are done and it’s time to bring new juniors and seniors!

While seniors prepare for the life without high school, juniors are stuck doing both they are preparing for both college and an extra year of high school. I have come to notice that junior year has definitely been one of the hardest years throughout high school, yes senior year is still to come but for now I think junior year is the hardest. I have witnessed some seniors this year and they seem to just stay caught up with work and senior year flies by quick. As a junior you are already preparing for your SAT and ACT and worrying about what colleges you are going to get into and which one you would decide to get into.  Senior year you might already know what you get accepted into and what you’re going to do after high school but as juniors your still debating on what to do.

I have to admit that junior year has been really tough, looking at your G.P.A.  and realizing you need to either keep doing as you have or do better. It’s tough but not impossible and you still have fun, basically as you get older time goes by faster that when you’re younger. Good luck Sophomores!

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
