All smiles at the Homecoming Dance

On Saturday, October 6th, Seniors McKenzie Gutierrez and Andrew Contreras were announced Homecoming Queen and King.  We interviewed Gutierrez and Contreras to see how they felt about winning this honor.

Pepper Bough:  Did you think you would win?

Gutierrez: Honestly, I didn’t think so. I just hoped that we did!

Contreras: Yeah, I didn’t think so either. But I’m glad that we did!

Pepper Bough: How did you react when you found out that you had won?

Gutierrez: I started crying and hugged my family.

Contreras: I was really happy and just looked at McKenzie.

Pepper Bough:  What’d you think about the dance, as a whole?

Gutierrez: I thought it was fun!

Contreras: Winning made it a lot more fun!

Pepper Bough: How does it feel to represent the school as homecoming King and Queen?

Contreras: It feels great, it’s such an honor!

Gutierrez: We’re very thankful that we won and very honored. It just goes to show that good always prevails over evil.

We’d like to thank Gutierrez and Contreras for giving the PepperBough some time to sit down for an interview. Congratulations on your win and go Yellowjackets!

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
