Colton,CA—With Colton High School being shut down for the whole of this week, auditions for the upcoming “Yellowjackets Got Talent” talent show have not been able to be held as planned.
To provide access to auditions, the Hip-Hop Club will be accepting video auditions for the talent show. Auditions can be digitally submitted, or through a via presentation video. Additionally, in-person audition dates have been added for Sep. 16-18 at lunch in the Whitmer Auditorium.
The “Yellowjackets Got Talent” organizers are still looking for more participants to sign up for auditions. Talents to showcase range from: gymnastics, singing, magic, origami and more.
Students are encouraged to sign-up using the official Google Form: Link HERE. Students interested in auditioning for the talent show should check their student email accounts for information regarding terms and conditions for performing. The email also includes the judging criteria for the day of the show.
For participants, there is a cash prize for the top three winners. First place receives $250, second receives $100 and third place receives $50. “The Hip-Hop Club was excited to offer a cash prize and are selling tickets to provide for the cash prize and the event costs,” said club advisor Danielle Fernandez.
The “Yellowjackets Got Talent” showcase will be held on Sep. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Whitmer Auditorium. Tickets cost $6 for adults and $3 for students. The event is free for students with an ASB card.
