Hip-Hop Club to host “Yellowjackets Got Talent” event

New club looks to put the spotlight on the talented kids at CHS, offering prizes for the top three performers.

Hip-Hop Club is sponsoring the “Yellowjackets Got Talent” talent show on Sep. 28. Sign-ups for auditions are going on now.

Colton CA—Colton High is loaded with talented students. They are now getting their chance to showcase it.

On Sep. 28 at 5:30 p.m. the Hip-Hop Dance club will host “Yellowjackets Got Talent,” a talent show at the Whitmer auditorium. Students can sign up for auditions and buy tickets during lunch this week and all of next week until Sep. 13.

Tickets cost $6 for adults and $3 for students. The event is free for students with an ASB card.

Auditions for performers will be held during lunch the week of Sep. 9. Students can sign up for auditions via a Google form.

For participants, there is a cash prize for the top three winners. First place receives $250, second receives $100 and third place receives $50. “The Hip-Hop Club was excited to offer a cash prize and are selling tickets to provide for the cash prize and the event costs,” said club advisor Danielle Fernandez.
