“Genshin Impact” update arrives this week
Version 3.0 of the popular action game offers a new realm, new character, and new quests
The highly anticipated “Genshin Impact” 3.0 update is set to be released today, August 23, which has gamers ready to re-enter the world of Teyvat for more regions, more characters, more quests, and more events.
For the uninitiated, “Genshin Impact” is a free-to-play action role-playing video game with a distinct style influenced heavily by Japanese anime. The immersive world of the game takes place in a fantasy world called Teyvat, with seven nations lorded over by different gods. Players can freely explore the open world map, and switch players in combat situations.
Of the new update’s best features, the most exciting is the new region players will be introduced to: Sumeru, the realm of a flower god named Dendro Archen. It is divided into two areas, a stunning rainforest packed with incredible flowers and lush trees, and a ruin-filled desert.
We will also get three new characters. The new characters included in this update are named Collei, Dori, and Tighnari.
Collei and Dori will be four-star characters, and Tighnari will be a five-star character. Other unconfirmed characters include: Cyno, Dehya, Nilou, and Al Haitham. All of these new characters will have Wish banners available to wish on with Fate currency.
Within the new 3.0 update, we’ll see added events such as Graven Innocence, Fayz Trials, Tablet Analytics, and Lost Riches.
Android and iOS users should make sure to have at least 2 to 3GB of space available on their device prior to downloading. Otherwise, the update will not download properly. PC users should have no issues with downloading and installing this update, as long as they have the required 10 to 15GB of storage space available to accommodate this large update.
Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
