2013 Grammy awards packed with show stopping highlights

The 55th annual Grammy Awards was aired February 10, 2013, and was hosted by LL Cool J at the L.A. Staples Center.

This year was full of winners and performances. Three new categories were introduced this year: Best Classical Compendium, Best Latin Jazz Album and Best Urban Contemporary Album. The show opened up with Taylor Swift performing her hit single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” There were more performances from artists such as Elton John, featuring Ed Sheeran, performing “The A Team,” Fun performing “Carry On,” and many more.

The big award of the night, Record of the Year, went to “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Goyte featuring Kimbra. Song of the Year, Fun. “We are Young.”Album of the Year went “Babel” by Mumford and Sons. Best New Artist, Fun. Best Pop Solo Performance, “Set Fire to the Rain” (Live) Adele. Best Pop Vocal Album, “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson. Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Goyte featuring Kimbra. Best Pop Instrumental Album, Chris Botti, “Impressions.”

Of course the list goes on and on.
