A new PC horror game that goes by name Slender has been striking fear into any who dare to approach it. Slender takes place in a pitch black forest where the objective is to collect pages. The pages are located at various landmarks scattered across the map. Though, these pages are guarded by the mysteriously horrifying being named Slenderman. Slenderman is described as a very tall, faceless humanoid in a black suit with branch-like appendages growing out of his back and arms, making him blend in with the forest scenery very well. This makes Slenderman very hard to spot, that is, unless he’s right behind you.
The horror aspects focus mainly on psychological fear, giving a constant feeling of helplessness. You never know when Slenderman will strike, all you know is that it will happen eventually.
The graphics of the game aren’t amazing but definitely aren’t bad. If anything, the only thing wrong is a few models that need to be fixed up. The game takes approximately 20 minutes to complete if you know what you’re doing.
After beating the game, you unlock “Daytime mode” and “20 Dollars mode.” Both make the game less scary and more a novel experience, as well as leaving a little bit of room for replayability. The best part about this whole package is that it’s 100% free, making it definitely worth your time. Either by yourself, or with a group of friends, Slender does not disappoint, and will definitely be something you won’t forget for a long time.
