Going retro seems all the rage now, and what better way to bring back the past than to publish a good old-fashioned print newspaper, like the old days?

Scoff if you will, but those who follow us know that here at the Pepper Bough, things have been changing, fast. For the last two or three years you may have noticed that the school newspaper has been transitioning to a web-based publishing presence, moving away from print journalism. While traditionalists mourn the loss of holding a paper in one’s hands, leafing through it, the world of journalism is changing. Seeing the handwriting on the wall, we’ve upped our digital presence and now are full time on the web, updating our paper weekly.

While maintaining a digital newspaper is fun and rewarding, and offers many avenues of expression with which a print paper can’t compare (videos, real-time polls, comments section, unlimited articles/color pics, etc), many of us on the staff miss making up a print edition. So with the money raised from a fundraiser, we decided to go out in style this year: a final end-of-the-year Senior Class of 2015 Farewell edition. This eight-page “paper” paper will hit the campus just before the four day weekend.

We hope you enjoy our journalism, presented the “old-fashioned” way.

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
