Every year Grant elementary holds a fall festival for their students and families. It’s a community shared event where everyone gets to do fun activities, enjoy the music, and have good food. This year like every other was an amazing night for anyone that had gone that night. Even when things were just getting set up everyone was helping out. You could see Grant students, teachers, community members, and even some Colton High students like some ASB, Link Crew, and Avid students were there as well helping set up everything just hours before the main event started.

My younger siblings and I helped out too where we could. It was nice to see everyone helping each other out to get the activities, food, and booths ready. It wasn’t a pressured event where people were just trying to get their own activities done and not help others. When the time finally came and people started to roll in, everyone was welcomed and greeted by friends of this close knitted community. Where everyone knows a friendly face here and there. I spent the night with my friends, and family enjoying the many booths and food they had to offer, even the kid friendly haunted maze. When the night finally came to end everyone helped out if they could to get everything put away where it needed to be, and all of the trash to where it belong as well. The fall festival could not have gone any better than how it did.
