Aussie Black Metal band Destroyer 666 hits with new album

Christopher Rodriguez, Reporter

The crazy Australian black metal band Destroyer 666 has returned with a new album titled Wildfire. Released on the February 26th, Wildfire is a nine track album and is full of heavy riffs. The first song opens up with an ear blistering scream. The album has an old school feel of a crossover of black metal and old-school death metal. You can hear their influences of their previous albums. Destroyer 666 is a very underrated band in the metal community for the fact that people do not branch out and experiment with different genres. Their music consist of very heavy and complicated riffs.

On this album there are hints of Iron Maiden’s riffs but they created their own sound.  The last song in the album is my favorite because it is the heaviest song due to its slow chugging guitar and fast drums. Overall I would recommend this album to any metalhead.
