On August 31st, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics completed a groundbreaking trade in the NBA. The trade included NBA Superstars, Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas. Most people would say that the Cavaliers came out on top with this trade since they received Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and a 1st round pick from the Brooklyn Nets!

After the two teams agreed to do this trade back on  August 22nd, there was a hold up on the trade after the Cavs discovered a problem with Isaiah Thomas. When the Cavs flew in Thomas for a physical, they found that he has an injury that could hold up his season for a few games. In order for a trade to be completed all players must pass their physicals and if they don’t, the team receiving them will have to agree to getting them. Once they found this injury in Thomas, reporters reporters were saying that there could be a possible void on the trade. Many fans were shocked that the trade had a possibility of being held up or voided after the two teams agreed to the trade.

Later that week the Cavs worked a deal with the Celtics that they will add another pick to complete the trade for Kyrie Irving. In conclusion, the Cavs received 5 items for 1. We will now see Isaiah Thomas and Jae Crowder in Cavalier jerseys and Kyrie Irving in a Celtics jersey.

Also, if you would like to see the two teams face off against each other, the Cavs and Celtics will be playing on Opening Night, what a coincidence. In that game, we will see how the teams match up against each other, and how their new additions work out for them.
