An Eventful Day of Fundraising and Volleyball

On August 18th, Girl’s Volleyball held an Alumni game. JV played best 2 out of 3 rounds and won all of them. There was no errors in the JV game at all, while Freshmen only had a few. For the 1st round the score was 25-4. For the 2nd round the score was 25-7. After the game, they started to set up for the Alumni.  The Alumni wasn’t just for fun, it was a fundraiser. They had the girls get into a group of 4 and make a basket to raffle off. They sold the raffle tickets for $1 dollar for 1 ticket, $5 for 6 , and $10 for an arm length. They had 8 types of baskets they raffled off. There was a Spa day, Coffee, NFL, Picnic, Movie night, S’mores, Electronics, DisneyLand (two tickets and free parking). The Electronic basket was sold for $5 per ticket, the fact that it was so expensive is the reason why it was $5. A couple hundred dollars were made from the fundraiser, and everyone who wanted to view the game had the chance to get in for free! It was optional if they wanted to buy a raffle ticket. Towards the end of the day, Varsity lost three games and won two. To end off the day, Alumni from our very own school challenged each other!
