Varsity Baseball Earns its First Season Victory over San Bernardino

Vincent Lopez, Reporter

The Colton Varsity Baseball team earned a victory at home, 7-6, against the San Bernadino Cardinals to start their season on a good note as to their record last year was 7-19, which was not the game plan for the new year. The team was set to host the Cardinals and were ready to give them a big L for their record. The game started off really exhilarating with the fans cheering and the game being so close back and forth. The Cardinals were not going down without a fight as they were going back in forth with scoring runs after runs as the game was a pretty high scoring game.

The final to the game was a close 7-6 with the colton hive taking the win from the san bernardino Cardinals it was a close game which kept the crowd on their feet but luckily the home team took the win. The Varsity team are starting the season on the right track and hopefully don’t move backwards or slow down at any point so they have a chance to win league and hopefully do and the only way for that to happen is winning as they face Rancho Verde’s Mustangs on the seventh of March in the Citrus Hill baseball tournament, which they look forward to taking the win and the Mustangs’ pride and dignity.
