On Jan. 9th, all college football fans rejoiced as it was the date for the annual NCAA College Football championship. The championship game was between Alabama vs Clemson, a game that was the equivalent of the Super Bowl to college football fans.

Going into this game, Alabama was favored by 6.5 points, making them the team most likely to win. Although that Alabama was the favored team, it was sure to be a very interesting game.

Fast forwarding to the beginning of the 4th quarter. Going into the fourth quarter Alabama had the lead 24-14. But that would soon be a different story. A couple minutes into the quarter Clemson throws a touchdown to WR Mike Williams making the score 24-21, Alabama.

With the score as it is now, this makes this a very interesting championship game. On the next Alabama drive, they completely get shut down by Clemson’s defense and are forced to bring back out the Clemson offense. Once Clemson got the ball, they were ready to show themselves. They easily get the ball down field and shortly after run in a 1yd touchdown with RB Wayne Gallman to take the lead. (28-24, Clemson)

This was not going to stop Alabama from coming back out though. They came out playing serious and ended up driving down the field and actually scoring a thirty yard touchdown running with their quarterback to take the lead back.

At this point was the biggest stage of the game for Clemson’s offense and Alabama’s defense. With the score now being 31-28, Alabama leading, Clemson now has a couple minutes to score. With lots of pressure on them Clemson manages to get the ball down the field once again. Now with a couple of seconds left in the game, and in the red zone, Clemson needs to score which they did fulfill as time ran down. Clemson took the 35-31 lead with about three seconds left. They would then go for the onside kicks, getting the ball off and the clock runs out, winning the championship for the first time in decades.
