On Friday the 13th, the Colton baseball team took an amazing comeback victory against Fontana Steelers, 5-4.  Before the game, 1st baseman Senior Alex McKeehan commented about today’s game saying, “We worked real hard not to lose our last game, all we need to do is play our role swing our bats and hopefully win this game”.  In the first inning, Fontana was the first one to strike first as they hit a two-run home run. Colton up to bat a sacrifice pop fly to left field brings in a man scoring one ending that inning 1-2 Fontana.  In the second inning a double for Fontana Steelers scores and additional two runs.

Colton tries to even up the scores but quickly gives Fontana some routine plays to finish the inning with a score of 4-1.  The Steelers started to struggle and gave Colton an easy inning. In the bottom of the 3rd, Senior Jordan Campa hits a RBI single to score one run in, making the score 4-2.  In the 4th, Fontana was starting to fall behind as they finish another inning without scoring.  Colton second baseman, Senior Michael Reyes made a huge contribution as he hit a double RBI to left center and scores one for the YellowJackets.

In the 5th, Fontana not looking so good gives Colton another easy inning.  The pitcher from Full high trying hard not to let Colton score anymore he gives a walk for Colton to score leaving the score 4-4.  For the next final innings, both teams fought hard at bated breath to keep each other from scoring. The game then went to extra innings as Fontana with a man on third gets stopped from scoring as #16 Juarez strikes out three batters and finishes that inning.  Finally, in the bottom of the 10th with Alex McKeehan up to bat he hits a RBI single to left field to score one for the YellowJackets and winning the game 5-4.
