Volleyball becomes Macho for guys

Volleyball is a sport which girls usually participate in, but Colton High invented Macho Volleyball just for guys. Any grade can participate in this sport.

I received a lot of compliments from Colton High students saying how they had a pleasure watching the Macho Volleyball game. They said it was a good change, watching guys play instead of girls, and that it brought much entertainment. I was also told by some of the players of Macho Volleyball, that if they could play again, they definitely would. They also said that they enjoyed playing and they wished that Macho Volleyball was a season instead of just one game.

The first and only game was played on Monday, January 14th, 2013. The game was held in the Hubbs Gym and it started at 3:30 p.m. The winning team didn’t receive a prize, but they did gain experience in playing volleyball and a one in a lifetime chance. This wasn’t the first year that Colton High had a Macho Volleyball game, but it was the first year where many people participated in watching it. Many people are pleased with the idea of Macho Volleyball and would take time out of their day to watch guys play a traditional women’s sport.

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
