Gays now allowed in Boy Scouts without consequences

All in favor of gays being equally admitted to boy scouts as any other boy would be, say “Aye”. Well you really don’t have to because with or without you, that equality is now among us.  President Obama stated his stand on the subject by saying  “Gays and lesbians should have access and opportunity the same way everybody else does, in every institution and walk of life.” It is no longer an issue to exclude someone based on who they love in the boy scouts department any longer. The decisions were left up to the scouts themselves to see if it should be allowed and guess what? Yes, you are correct; most agreed that there was no point in discrimination against the boys who in other aspects were no different than themselves. No one is asked directly about their sexual orientation only those who are open were denied membership, but secrets don’t make friends. This is a great step for the boy scouts, and just a milestone for us as people. Hopefully the boys raised with this equality will pass on their open mind on new ideas and make the world a better place.

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
