Some people have speculated on politicians and may have deemed them as childish. It is still a speculation, but some may actually state that our politicians do act like children.
Last year, when presidential debates were aired for the election, Governor Mitt Romney made a comment about cutting funding to some corporations, including PBS. However, Romney was attacked almost instantly by the Obama campaign regarding this statement. He was attacked not for mentioning cuts, but for a comment regarding the beloved Sesame Street character, Big Bird.
Romney was mocked and insulted for such a childish statement relentlessly for quite some time.
That time, it seems, is not over. Recently, First Lady Michelle Obama has been promoting healthy lifestyles in children. Obama teamed up with Big Bird to demonstrate what can be done to stay healthy, such as eating right and staying active in a variety of ways.
Promoting a healthy lifestyle is not at all a bad thing. However, it is quite clear that Big Bird was there simply to further insult Romney.
He lost. He’s gone. The nation no longer has to deal with him. Just leave him alone.
Everyone knows that the First Lady is not a politician. But she is the next best thing to one on those ranks.
Rather than acting like a bunch of little kids (pointing fingers and blaming others) the government should act upon the poor economy and the huge social issues going on today.
