Election 2012: Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss

Election 2012: Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss

With the increasing turmoil in the world, the only thing anyone can talk about is next year’s presidential election when it comes to politics. The next president will definitely have a lot to deal with: the massive debt, taxes, a food shortage, and the homeless rate. What is really sad is that everyone puts their faith in someone who has no idea what they are doing. The only thing the candidates know how to do is lie and give a pitiful false hope.

There are currently five main candidates that can really dish out the lies: Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Ron Paul, and, of course, Barack Obama. It is because of lies that these fools give that the country is dying and won’t recover.

Let’s go back to the last election when it was McCain vs. Obama. Obama filled us all with hope and dreams with a catchy slogan, “Yes we can.” Now I’m not saying we’d be better off with McCain, but Obama has done relatively nothing. It is partially our fault, as well. While most of America was dying, we were helping Obama decide what kind of dog to get.

An obvious truth is that whoever is president, the outcome will be the same; nothing will change. Sure we need a strong and smart role model, but what we really need is a wise person, not smart. A wise president would know, within a minute, that the only way out of this crisis is to pretend like it never existed. In other words, overlook the debt, which is the main problem we are facing.

There is absolutely no way that we can pay off nearly 15 trillion dollars without increasing taxes and squeezing everyone dry for every last cent they have. What we can do, and any poltician with a brain would know this, is cut taxes by a lot and give other countries their money back.

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
