The Effect and Aftermath of the War in Culican

Over the weekend, I’ve noticed that something wrong was going on in Mexico. Over the media, I’ve seen that there had been a situation where locking up El Chapo’s son Ovidio Guzman had gone so wrong. This was something so bad that people had been dying. Then, I had wondered, is this because of the cartels? Or was this a different situation? I had many thoughts during this horrific time period. I was completely worried and terrified for the families during this struggle. The families in these cities had been in danger. Situations like these have kids and the elderly seeing things that they’re not supposed to experience. These experiences can completely terrify people, and can cause PTSD, and other mental illnesses. I’ve always wondered about the perspective of the families side, especially losing someone to that situation. I chose to find out the reports of innocent people who were being killed in the crossfire. These people were being killed by the Narcos, these sicarios were using military weapons to attack these innocent people. After these killings, the government chose to free Ovidio Guzman, so they can “protect the lives of others”  as Security Minister Alfonso Durazo stated. Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador didn’t want to discuss the situation although this had been the worst security crisis is years.  Many people in Culiacan don’t want to go outside, there’s still chaos, many people would think this was a war zone in Afghanistan, but sadly was Culican, Mexico. This was a loss for Mexico, I believe they gave too much power and they now need their consequences. Many people had been at fault when it came to this situation.. These Narcos held this city hostage until they got what they wanted. This had been such a disappointing and heartbreaking situation. Alfonso Durazo had told the press that there had been no agreement with the narcos, but there had been videos of the Mexican Marines shaking the Sicarios hands. Although this had been seen, the family of Ovidio Guzman Lopez had given a public thank you to the Mexican President for releasing him.
