On January 8th of 2019, The President of The United States, Donald Trump broadcasted his speech live on TV which discussed the Government being shutdown and illegal immigration.  Trump mainly uses emotional stories to appeal and strengthen the reasoning for the building of the wall. He uses news stories of people being killed by illegal immigrants. Trump also addresses that the government will be shut down until he gets what he wants. Trump also states in the speech how drugs will completely be out of the U.S if the wall is built. However in my opinion I feel as if that was a huge exaggeration as he didn’t discuss the other factors/ways drugs can get in, also the drugs in the U.S that are already here.  It will create more buzz for the black market. I think that the wall is a bad idea because there are cheaper and more efficient alternatives when it comes to border control.
