Interact is a campus club to help students get involved with the community. Meetings are held Mondays after school in room 601, wilth adviser, Rosenda Gonzalez, a spanish teacher. The meetings are about 30-45 minutes long depending on needs to be discussed.. Gonzalez, who is currently running the club, agreed to run it because to her, it’s a combination of two things she likes, which is doing community service and working with students.

What she likes about running Interact club is that she gets to see students getting involved in the community. Sometimes we become so focused in ourselves that we forget about others around us so getting involved with the community helps us see other things around us, Gonzalez points out. She adds, “Community service helps us get out of our bubble and see things from a different point of view,” to show how blessed we are.

Sometimes we take things for granted so we must look at the little things. The smallest things to us is the biggest for other people.

There is a $25 fee for entering the club, this gets you a T-shirt and the rest goes to the club, but it’s usually a donation.
