Nicholas Sparks Dominates the New Age of Romantic Novels

Nicholas+Sparks+Dominates+the+New+Age+of+Romantic+Novels

There are several well-known romantic novelists in today’s day and age, but to most, when one wants to watch a romantic movie or read a  novel of the same nature, the first name  that comes to mind is none other than Nicholas Sparks. Sparks is known for his enchanting ways to of describing a loving couple, with three of the most popular novels-turned-movies being “The Last Song”, “Dear John”, and “The Notebook”. These films have touched many hearts and brought tears to one’s eyes, yet we seem to really admire these kinds of emotions.

Sparks is an author who uses his words to appeal to one’s emotions, using the perfect combination of  tugging at your heartstrings, then helping you recover with the surprising happy endings. When watching television, we always have to watch the commercials – some being previews to movies – which we enjoy watching, because then we can decide whether it will be appealing enough for us to watch or not. To some, you need but simply ask a writer’s name, and they can quickly decide if they are on the opposing side of the movie or vice versa. Nicholas Sparks is an author of books that both young and old readers enjoy, since his love stories are ones that can appeal to nearly everyone, in some way or another. You know an author is good at his work when he specializes himself in a certain category, and most of his books have been turned into movies.

When I heard about the movie “The Vow” coming out on February 14, I was excited because the topic of the movie seemed so much like the content of a Nicholas Sparks novel; but to my surprise, it is not. Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams are the two main characters in the soon to be released film “The Vow”. With the two having both previously starred in Nicholas Sparks-based films, it is easy to understand why one would jump to such a conclusion. When this movie is released on the 14th, we will all be able to decide whether Nicholas Sparks really does compare to the five distinguished writers of “The Vow“. Hopefully this movie is just as great as the ones based on the novels of the well known author, Nicholas Sparks!
