Colton High “Fact of the Day” – Sept. 18

Pepper Bough Staff

Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.

Class chants and yells have long been a tradition of high schools across the United States. Colton High is no different. Earliest chants are recorded as far back as 1915. Here one of the first:

All together! All together!

That’s the way we pull!

Crimson and Gold!

Crimson and Gold!

Not a thread of wool!

Sink or swim!

Live or die!

Yet we shout our battle cry!

H-O-O Ray Hoo Can!

C-O-L-T-O-N!

Colton – Rah!
